Hi all & Happy Holidays! I’m still holiday-ed out, so I’m snipping from the same story as last week. Now that it’s available again, I can tell you it’s “Better Than New.” It’s a short tie-in to my limited-release novel Nesting Habits. Loosely. Theo has a walk-on part in Nesting Habits but “Better Than New” is all his.
This picks up immediately from where last week’s left off. The first dialogue is Ben’s.
“No worries there. I don’t care what you did that you think was so stupid—I mean, it won’t change the way I feel about you, not that I don’t care. Besides, if you told me your stupidest moment, I’d have to tell you mine. And I don’t want to.”
“Now I’m curious. Forget to carry the one on a math test?”
Thanks for reading!

Better Than New
Theo, 20 year old community college student, is between two lives—his adulthood in which he’s lacking a firm career direction, and the childhood in which he wasn’t yet an amputee.
On his own in Portland, Oregon, in the past year he’s found friends, a home in the LGBT activism community, and a coffeehouse, The Broken Cup. He may have also found the man who can help him come to terms with one life so he can fully enjoy the other.
