Hello Snippetteers & welcome to the weekend!
Today I’m snipping from the first book in my Buchanan House series because it’s featured in a backlist event with a ton of amazing authors! Stick around after the snip for details. 😉
This is from the scene where our hero Eric meets the love interest for the first time. Nathan is Eric’s BFF, and also the “he” at the beginning.
He leaned close and whispered in Eric’s ear, “Oh, em, gee. He can handyman me anytime.”
“Handyman isn’t a verb, Nathan.”
“It is in his case.” Nathan made a growling noise and winked. “But you saw him first, so hands off.”
“I didn’t say—”
“You never say. So I’m saying it for you.”

Buchanan House ~ USA Today Must-Read Romance!
Eric Allen and his bestie buy a neglected hotel on the scenic Oregon coast to fulfill their middle-school dreams of co-owning a B&B. The building is in decent shape but in order to turn Buchanan House into the gay resort of their dreams, it’s going to need work.
Tim Tate is a skilled carpenter with many hidden talents, and a body that could grace the pages of a fitness magazine. When he and Eric meet, it’s mutual lust at first sight. Despite the intense attraction, both men are hesitant to fully out themselves by acting on it. But when they give in, it’s obvious that they’ve found something special—and not only in bed.
Before Eric can be free to love the gorgeous handyman they have to make it through the July4th grand opening. With rain that won’t stop and a meddling brother intent on wreaking havoc, can the holiday still go off with a bang?

I love “handyman” as a verb. Fun exchange and I like Nathan.
Nathan seems like a good friend. It’s always best not to pursue your friend’s crush unless a mutually agreed-upon menage will ensue. 😉

Heh, great play on words! 🙂
I love it. Nathan is such a good friend.
