Hello and welcome, Snippetteers!
To celebrate the one year anniversary of Rainbow Snippets I’m going to share from last year’s Christmas story, Cascades.
This snippet doesn’t really need an intro, and it really is only six sentences~no creative punctuation for a change. 🙂
Why is it that when we hear the words we hope for, we don’t believe them? I wanted to believe them, to believe him. I wanted to take him by the arm and march us upstairs and show him how much I wanted him. But I couldn’t. Couldn’t move, couldn’t speak. I just sat there and stared.
Thanks for reading!

Great question. Indeed, why don’t we?
Poor guy and such an important question too.
Great snippet – very real.
Sigh, yes…hard to believe what we’ve hoped for is real. There’s a lot of longing in this snippet.
Powerful and beautiful in its simplicity.
Perfect! 🙂
Sometimes good stuff is harder to believe than bad stuff.
So very very true. Great snippet.
