Hello and welcome to my snippet!
This weekend I’m ticking things off my author To Do list and it feels great! One of the things I’ve done is to start a newsletter. The first edition will be going out on the 16th. If you’re interested, I’ve dropped a subscription link at the end of this post.
This snippet is from Holiday Weekend, which will be released on Dec. 16th. Newsletter subscribers will get a sneak peek at the cover, which is another L.C. Chase masterpiece. For now, here are six sentences from Ryan’s Halloween date.
I’m not a bad dancer, but the way Glenn moved would’ve made me jealous if I weren’t so busy drooling.
Glenn danced with confidence, as though he knew the steps. It took me half the song to figure out that he didn’t. Glenn hadn’t learned every step, but he was still dancing with the assurance of someone who had practiced every day for weeks. I laughed out loud as my own tentative steps grew sure. That kind of poise was contagious and even sexier than I would’ve guessed.
Thanks for reading!

I agree with Ryan. Self-confidence can be so sexy. I envy Glenn his ability to give no shits about what anyone thinks and dance like no one is watching.
Thanks for visiting, Addison! I agree–I’d love to be able to just let go like that. ❤
Lots of positive energy in this snippet 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Definitely think that self confidence is one of the sexiest things ever, as long as it doesn’t spill over into arrogance, which I can’t stand. This is a lovely snippet and lightened me to think of dancing.
Thanks for commenting! ❤
Lovely description! Congrats on the upcoming release!
Thanks! ❤
Love that last line and agree with it totally.
Thank you, Jana! ❤
I wish I had Glenn’s confidence! I’m more the wallflower type at those things.
*lol* Me too! It’s fun writing someone who can put themselves out there without fear because that’s probably the only way I’m going to have the experience.
Very easy to visualise with just those few sentences and love the mood of it. (I signed up for your newsletter the other day. Looking forward to them)
Thanks, Anne! ❤
Yeah. That is so not me. I’m way too self conscious. (And have two left feet, the coordination of a drunken cow, and no sense of rhythm.)
Lovely. I could picture it so well.
