A six sentence snippet…

RSMMmedHola Snippetteers!

Hope you’re having a great day, where ever you are! This weekend I’ve finished proofing the holiday story (ahead of deadline :)) and am working on first edits for an urban fantasy that should be out sometime early next year. Hope you’re having a productive weekend too!

Last week my snippet was over the limit so this week’s is a tiny one to make up for that. It’s from the Christmas story, Holiday Weekend, Buchanan House: Book Five. This is from Ryan’s point of view, during his first date with Glenn.

I couldn’t figure out what was holding me back—if we were in a bar, I would’ve already made some kind of a play. But we weren’t in a bar. We were at an all-ages dance party, and my date was…. I didn’t know how old he was, not for sure. Over eighteen, I guessed. I hoped. Under twenty-one. Probably by more than a month or two.

Thanks for reading!

To find links to more snippets, visit the Rainbow Snippets FB Group. It’s a public group and everyone is welcome to join. Have a lovely weekend!

All of the Buchanan House books are available at the Dreamspinner store. They’re all on sale for 30% off through 10/23 too. Book Two, Pride Weekend, is always free at Dreamspinner and All Romance eBooks.

  1. LOL, yeah, I think I’d be feeling a little awkward there too. I’m thinking Glenn isn’t, though. I always love when it’s the older one who needs help loosening up. 🙂

  2. I’m intrigued about Ryan with this snippet, especially with the age making him hesitate. I love Christmas stories. And looking forward to hearing more about your urban fantasy – love that genre.
