Happy Caturday Snippetteers!
It’s been a long, busy week & i’m ready for some snippeting. For the next few minutes i’m going to pretend i don’t have a deadline tomorrow. Shhh…;)
This will probably be my last snippet from Tiny House, since it released yesterday so anyone who’s interested can read every sentence. Not sure if i’ll start next week with another book in the Buchanan House series, or something completely different.
Here we are in Nathan’s POV, in the kitchen at Buchanan House. Nathan has just ripped a croissant in half to inspect it before taking a bite. He’s talking to his brother, Evan.
“You have to be careful with what you eat here. Eric likes to experiment. Just because this smells like a plain croissant, doesn’t mean it is a plain croissant. It could’ve been filled with salted caramel or hazelnut chutney.”
“Hey!” Eric’s indignant shout from the other side of the door made Nathan grin.
He looked at Evan, who hid his own grin by turning to reach for another croissant. “Heed the warning, little brother.” Nathan gestured with half his croissant and then popped it into his mouth before he could say anything else. He didn’t trust himself, and with good reason.
