Happy Caturday, Snippetteers!
It’s Rainbow Snippets time again, the day when writers and bloggers share 6 sentences of queer fiction for your (and our!) reading pleasure! You might find historical fiction, YA, something sweet or something spicy, but the common thread is that all main characters will identify as LGBTQ+.
This is the last snippet i’ll share from “Pride Weekend”–by this time next week it’ll be released and you can read the whole story free!
Last week Silas didn’t think he had any choice but to let Adam leave, and i think i’ll let you see for yourselves how that works out. 😉 Next week i’ll share from Tiny House, Book #3 in the series.
You have sand… in… places.” Silas pulled my legs down so my feet touched the floor. He crossed his arms and leaned against my stomach, my poor aching dick touching neither his body nor his arms.
“So did you.” I moved my hips, trying for any contact with his skin and failing.
“Really?” He looked genuinely surprised. Silas stood, and in a single fluid motion, took my hands and pulled me to my feet. He kept my hands in his and lifted them out and away as he stepped so close our bodies touched from the sides of our feet to our chests. “Then you deserve a medal for what you just did to me. Come on. Let’s wash the beach away.”
Thanks for reading!
Don’t forget to head back to the Rainbow Snippets FB Group, where you’ll find links to more snippets of queer fiction from new and established authors. It’s a fun way to spend a few hours on a relaxing weekend. You (and your TBR list) have been warned! *lol*
“Pride Weekend”, by Charley Descoteaux
Release Date: April 22, 2016
Overworked cubicle jockey Adam Byron wants to attend Oregon Coast Pride in style but the price of a room at Buchanan House, a popular gay retreat on the central coast, is beyond his budget. So he won’t miss out, he advertises online for someone to share expenses. Corporate drone Silas Grant responds to Adam’s ad, and the two get to know each other via texts before meeting at the coast. They agree on a no-pressure roommate arrangement, yet once they meet face-to-face their attraction is undeniable. Desire might simmer well beyond Pride weekend, no matter how hard Adam and Silas try to live up to their noncommitment pact.
Very interesting. Will look out for it.
Nice snippet, I’m looking forward to reading the whole story.
Ooh, nice. Doesn’t look like the leaving part happened exactly as expected. 😉 Exciting that it’ll be released soon—I can’t wait to read this!
Nice! How many guesses do we get as to what he just did to Silas? 😉
Oh very nice.
Sand can be a real bugger for getting into places – just saying.
And do we want to know how sand got… “in places”?
Oh, who am I kidding? Of course we want to know! Sweet tantalizing snippet!
