Pride is free…

RSMMmedHappy Caturday, Snippetteers!

This week I’m snippeting from a new story, it’s Book #1.5 in my Buchanan House series, “Pride Weekend”. In this story, two young Portlanders have made the trek to my fictional gay retreat on the Central Oregon Coast to enjoy Pride weekend. Maybe it goes without saying, but they enjoy it quite a bit. 😉

I eased Silas onto his back and only allowed myself a short moment to appreciate the sweet bow of his lips and the flutter of his dark eyelashes against his pale cheekbones, one tiny gesture of tenderness as I brushed his dark wavy hair from his face. The kiss I placed on those lovely lips was short, and he moaned in protest when I kissed a path down over his jaw. His hips bucked when I licked his neck and then sucked the salty skin into my mouth.

Intoxicating. Delicious.

Silas writhed in my arms, reduced to broken syllables in his pleasure.

Thanks for reading!

Join me next Wednesday when I’ll be visiting Joyfully Jay’s for an exclusive double cover reveal, in which I finally get to show off the amazing cover art for “Pride Weekend” and Book #2 in the Buchanan House series, Tiny House. I’ll also be giving away two codes for the audiobook version of Book #1, Buchanan House.

I’m especially excited about “Pride Weekend” because it’s a free short, a thank you to readers who made book #1 such a success. It’s available for pre-order now on the Dreamspinner store. Click the cover below to reserve your copy!

Pride Weekend, by Charley Descoteaux

Release Date: April 22, 2016

Overworked cubicle jockey Adam Byron wants to attend Oregon Coast Pride in style but the price of a room at Buchanan House, a popular gay retreat on the central coast, is beyond his budget. So he won’t miss out, he advertises online for someone to share expenses. Corporate drone Silas Grant responds to Adam’s ad, and the two get to know each other via texts before meeting at the coast. They agree on a no-pressure roommate arrangement, yet once they meet face-to-face their attraction is undeniable. Desire might simmer well beyond Pride weekend, no matter how hard Adam and Silas try to live up to their noncommitment pact.

Don’t forget to head back to the Rainbow Snippets FB Group, where you’ll find links to more snippets of queer fiction from new and established authors. You might find historical fiction, YA, something sweet or something spicy, but the common thread is that all main characters will identify as LGBTQ+.
