Welcome to my stop on the Reading Romances Christmas Giveaway Hop! Over fifty authors and bloggers will be posting about their favorite gifted reads, and holding giveaways from now until the 27th.
The holidays are perfect for Romance, and I’m thrilled to be giving away a copy of my M/M Erotic Romance, Comfort and Joy!
I’ve been a Romance reader for a very long time, in fact, my favorite “gifted” read was really one I snagged from my mom: Kathleen Woodiwiss’ The Wolf and the Dove. I wasn’t supposed to even look at the cover, but I’d sneak it out of her bedside table and keep track of what page I was on in a notebook. My mom didn’t mean to gift that read to me, but it got me hooked so it counts!
Leave a comment after the blurb for a chance to win your copy of Comfort and Joy!
How much love does it take to heal the wounds of hate?
Sam and Charlie have been together over a decade, and their commitment to each other has only grown stronger through the years. But love isn’t always easy, and eighteen months after a violent assault, their fairy-tale relationship is still struggling. Charlie can’t shake the lingering fear of attracting more violence by displaying affection, and he’s angry at himself for not getting past it. Sam would do anything to help Charlie feel better—if only he knew what that was.
The century-old farmhouse in Northwest Oregon is the perfect place to spend the holidays with Sam’s family, but it was their refuge after the attack, and it still holds painful memories of those difficult first months. Christmas should be a joyful time, but even being surrounded by people who love him isn’t enough to make Charlie feel safe. He could try to keep to himself, but even if Sam agreed to give him the space he needs, Sam’s warm and loving family might not. And even though they agreed not to exchange gifts, Sam has a surprise up his sleeve that he hopes will make everything merry and bright. But he may end up more surprised than Charlie before the week is out…

COMFORT AND JOY looks fantastic! I was pretty happy to get signed copies of Eden Winters’ DIVERSION and JP Barnaby’s entire Little Boy Lost series…
Thanks! 🙂
Ooh, I’ve been meaning to get to those by JP Barnaby, lucky you!
Happy Holidays!
The best book I received was last year in a contest I won. I got paperback volumes 1-9 from Lynn Hagen’s Brac Pack series. I’m so in love with it and was so happy to have won special autographed copies. My family doesn’t give me books, just money to get them on my own. LOL… so that was pretty awesome. I was so damn lucky to have won it! xD
Eek! Hope I’m lucky enough to win this time~ I’ve gotten the free short twice now but I don’t wanna spoil it and read it without having read Comfort and Joy first, you know?
LOL…. yeah.. i’m weird and neurotic that way. xP
Thanks again for the contest!

Thanks for coming back to visit again, Judi!
Don’t worry, the short won’t spoil anything. It takes place about 7 years before Comfort and Joy. I’m a huge spoiler-phobe so I get it! 🙂
I want this book definitely on my tbr list….The best book would be when my sister went on an author cruise and she got Debbie Maccomber to sign her book to me and it was dated on my anniversary…and she wished me a happy one…That was very cool!!!

What a cool gift! I like how her books bring knitting into the story. 🙂
Happy Holidays!
When my daughter was 9, I gave her Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl, because they were two books that meant a lot to me when I was her age. As she was growing up, many books got added to her collection ….Brave New World, The Miracle Worker, Slaughterhouse Five and most recently The Great Lenore by J.M Tohline.
My daughter’s 27 now, a couple of months ago on a social media site, there was a question about her favorite book — her answer? Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl…
Happy Holidays & thanks for the amazing giveaway!

What a wonderful story, thanks for sharing!
Happy Holidays! 🙂
I love your story about sneaking your moms book. My first romance was given to me by my mom as well. I was in a used bookstore and picked up a copy of The Bride by Julie Garwood. This was one with just a pink cover, there wasn’t any embracing half dressed couple on the front, so I’m not really sure she knew what she was buying. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked on all the different romance genres. Comfort and Joy sounds amazing!

Thanks for your comment.
You’re lucky that cover was so easy to get past your mom! I had to keep sneaking until I was about 16. 🙂
Happy Holidays!
I remember sneak-reading the books my mother told to leave alone but for the life of me I can’t remember titles, it’s been a looooong time. The most special book I have ever gotten is my daughter’s book published by Cambridge University based on her doctoral thesis. It’s way over my head but very special.
Charley D. you sneaking books till you were almost 16?! You mean you weren’t a well behaved gal then? !!
Happy holidays!

Well, I have two. First is an autographed copy of SC Stephens Thoughtless, but primarily is Fifty Shades of Gray because my husband took the time out to go and find it and buy it for me to read because I had heard so much hype about it. That was pretty special for me 🙂
