Happy LGBTQ History Month!

October is LGBTQ History Month in the US and I’m in a celebrating mood!  Knowledge is power, and the more LGBTQ history becomes common knowledge the more empowered we will all feel.  This is as true for an old bi gal like me as it is for the kids who’re just trying to sort out their identities.

I hope I live to see the day when someone can come out as Bisexual without having to explain what that means or undertake re-education that bisexuals aren’t just indecisive and it’s not a gateway orientation, and the day when transphobia is as unacceptable as overt racism.

To that end, I want to share today’s video from the great LGBTQ YouTube channel.  The Equality Forum will be posting a new one every day in the month of October.  I’m a day late because I’m in school and my car needed to go in for servicing.  The plan is to educate myself every day this month, and share all the great information on the LGBTQ History Month web site with as many people as possible.

Come back and see a new video here every day, or subscribe to their YouTube channel.
